Dr Uma Krishnan (Head of Department)
Dr Uma Krishnan, MSc, MPhil, PhD in Clinical Psychology did her post-graduation training in Kasturba Medical College; Manipal then completed PhD from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. She is associated with Psychology associations and an RCI registered Clinical Psychologist. She has been working in the field of Neuro developmental Disorders for a period of 13 years in Bangalore. Her one of the main focus is in research works. She has been undertaking a workshop for parents and trainers in the area of technology-based intervention and iPad as a tool for early intervention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has been working in the behavioural management of children with developmental disorders.
After completing his graduation in Hindi language and literature, Mr Joy Victor displayed his talent in several professions including Choreography, Hotel Management and completed Edexcel Level 7 Advanced Professional Diploma in Management Studies,(Business and Technology Education Council) the UK. He chose Special Education as his destination while volunteering for social & charity organizations in the UK. He is a rank holder from M.G. University in both B. Ed &M.Ed in Special Education (Mental Retardation). He was a Special educator at GramaJyothy Special School in Trivandrum. As a CRETT certified professional he aspires to explore International perspectives in Special education. He loves the relentless practical application strategies of Behavior Management in Children with special needs in the SEN department of Sadhbhavana World School. He is creative in everything he does and currently pursuing an MA in Psychology from Indira Gandhi National Open University.
Mr Nishad is a Diploma holder in special education and Mental retardation. He is very passionate to teach specially-abled children. He directed several plays in major theatre festivals like folk, Bharat, Rang Mahotsav and Theatre Olympics in India
